FIRE IN THE SKY
FIRE IN THE SKY

Painting: Acrylic on Canvas.

This piece was inspired by the power and glory of the sun that produced a particularly consuming heat wave. While I painted, the air around me was being held hostage by the heat. At times, I actually felt like I was at the mercy of invisible bursting fireballs. The Fire in the Sky was communicating with me, begging me to capture its likeness, not through sight, but by feel.

GOLD RUSH
GOLD RUSH

Painting: Acrylic on Canvas.

This piece really brings together many of my original paintings that have been inspired the artwork I've accumulated in my home over the course of the last 20 years. This is my brain’s encapsulation of all the warm and happy feelings I get when I’m immersed in the art that has meant so much to me over the years. It’s my colorful art history all sharing the same canvas and in one very happy space.

DAY AT THE BEACH
DAY AT THE BEACH

Painting: Acrylic on Canvas.

This peace was inspired by a perfect day at the beach. It was one of those days where the sun and water came together in perfect harmony. The foundation of the work began with using the different blues of the sea and later adding the brighter colors throughout the piece to illustrate the tranquility of the scene coupled with the warm comfortable colors I could feel washing over me. It’s the peace I find every time I hear the sound of ocean while watching the families, children and dogs frolic on the beach.
